[Guide] [Guide] How to verify ①: live MT5 link (most reliable)
Anyone can make a screenshot, so they're hard to trust. With a live link, your MT5 account performance is published on your EADesk card every minute, as is. We never ask for your password.
You need
- An MT5 account (real or demo — the type is shown on your card)
- MT5 running 24/7 (a VPS is recommended)
- An EADesk account
Steps
- Verified → Post a verification → My strategy (live link) tab
- Enter the strategy name, symbols, description and risk rules, then register. You'll get a reporter token and setup steps. The token is shown only once — save it.
- Choose one:
- A. You have the EA source (.mq5) → paste the provided code right under the `#property` lines at the top of your EA and press F7 (compile)
- B. No source, manual trading or a copy account → download the reporter EA, put it in MT5's Experts folder and attach it to any chart
- In MT5 Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, tick *Allow WebRequest* and add the address shown (`https://eadesk.com`)
- When the Toolbox → Experts tab shows the reporter's "sent" message, you're done. Your card appears within a minute.
Good to know
- On first connect it also sends the last year of trade history. Pick a date under "Show pre-link history" on your strategy page to include it in the chart.
- It locks to the first account it connects from. Register other accounts as new strategies.
- The share of entries without a stop and your open positions are recorded automatically, so others can see the risk for themselves.
- Other members can follow your strategy with Paper copy.
