[How-to] [How-to] Scam checklist: signal groups, guarantees, fakes
Automated and copy trading is one of the most scam-heavy fields. If even one of these applies, stop.
Red flags in what they say
- "10% a month guaranteed," "capital protected," "we'll cover your losses" → guarantees are impossible. The promise itself is the red flag
- "Only today," "3 spots left" → urgency is there to take away your time to check
- Only "profit proof" screenshots, no account history link or live verification
Red flags in the money flow
- They ask you to deposit to a personal bank account
- Small withdrawals work at first, then "you must pay tax or fees before withdrawing" once the amount grows
- They ask you to install an unfamiliar broker or exchange app (fake MT5 and fake exchange apps exist)
- They ask for your account password (master password) → never give it
How to check
- Search the broker's entity name directly on the regulator's website (not via a link they sent)
- Ask to see EA or signal performance as a live real-account record (like EADesk live linking)
- Search the name and contact details for victim reports
If you've already sent money
- Don't send more when asked (it's withdrawal bait)
- Save chats, transfer records and site addresses, and contact the police and your financial regulator
- Call your bank right away about stopping or recalling the payment
Post the offer you received in Q&A on EADesk. Members who've seen similar tricks will tell you quickly.
